The Union Gospel
Shortly after moving to Seattle in 2014 i got the jones in my bones to play the drums again. I had Summerland on the calendar with Everclear and Souls Aslyum, otherwise i was left holding the baby. I think i knew one person here who played music, so i was wondering how exactly i was gonna do that. My friend and Spacehog bandmate Timo Ellis had introduced me to Mike Squires and a rather curious telephone relationship started to unfold: I didn't meet Mike until a year later but thoroughly enjoyed our chats and quickly realised he was someone i would like to play with.
Eventually he introduced me to Dejha Colantuono and Eric Corson, thus The Union Gospel was born.
I've talked before about the challenges faced by musicians to produce their work and thrive commercially in todays economy, and the Union Gospel are no different.
Dejha is i think one of the best singers i have ever worked with and the material we have worked on is well worth a punt. We have enlisted Martin Feveyear (another Brit) to produce who has done some wonderful work with Mark Lanegan and Green Apple Quickstep.
All that remains is for you to take a look at the clip and sign up on the indiegogo campaign page.
